The End For More Than Credit Card

More Than have stopped taking new applications for their credit card, and existing More Than card holders have been told they are being moved over to a Lloyds TSB credit card.
The More Than credit card was an offshoot of the successful Accucard credit card. The More Than card had all the same benefits with 0 per cent balance transfers for 6 months a very low APR of just 13.9 per cent and what attracted most consumers a cash back rate of 0.5 per cent.
Over the last six months we have seen the closure of Accucard, Scottish Widows (last week) Lloyds Createcard and now More Than. All previous cardholders are being given the Lloyds TSB Platinum credit card.
One issue that has arisen is the cash back that was previously offered on all these cards. The Lloyds TSB Platinum credit card does not come with a cash back option.
The last More Than credit card statement will be sent out this month. You will be credited with any cash back you have earned on your More Than credit card on your first Lloyds TSB Platinum credit card statement.
If you are looking for a credit card that offers a cash back option, I would advise you wait until you receive your full cash back from your More Than credit card at the end of June this year, close your Lloyds TSB credit card account and open a Morgan Stanley credit card account offering 2 per cent cash back on everything you buy on your card until August 1st 2006. You will receive a cash back bonus of 1% for spending up to £2000 and 0.5% thereafter.
