There is a new credit card which is set to be introduced into the UK over the next few years which will change our energy use forever.
The new card which has been proposed by the Environment secretary ‘David Miliband’ is set to ration our use of energy including petrol, air tickets and energy bills. The card is set to be introduced within the next five years and there is no doubt that it will cause mixed feelings.
We all know about the constant threat of global warming and this new card seems to be a solution to that, but that still does not mean that people will warm to the idea.
The card is supposed to remind consumers how they are impacting the environment and it may help to change their habits when it comes to energy. You cannot fault the secretary for trying however as something certainly does need to be done in order to sort out the environmental problems we so readily have.
The year 2006 has seen the most significant change in weather as we have seen the hottest summer in years and a particularly mild winter. This just goes to show what an impact we are having on the planet and this new card will hopefully shed some light on our energy spending habits.
If we continue to waste energy we are likely to see even worse weather within the UK with more hurricanes and hotter summers. In fact, the weather is likely to turn exactly like American weather and that means freak storms, extremely hot weather and many tornados. It is not a theory it is a fact and hopefully this new card will be one of the many schemes introduced in order to help with this ever changing country. After all, if we do nothing now, there may not even be a country in years to come.
