Christmas cheer offered by HSBC with their 0% credit card deal

New customers are being offered 0% interest on purchases for six months and on balance transfers until January 2008.

This particular offer on the purchases will allow customers to spread the cost of their Christmas shopping.

While there is no annual fee on the HSBC credit card, there is a 2% handling fee set at a minimum of £5, payable on balance transfers.

In addition HSBC have a minimum repayment on the card set at 3% compared to the 2% which many other providers have, helping to speed up the payment of any outstanding balances.

Such offers will allow cardholders considerable savings in interest and overall will help to cut down their credit card debt more quickly.

Furthermore, the HSBC credit card carries a detection system whereby any unusual activity on the customers account is highlighted. This feature is designed to reduce the risk of fraud and can only benefit the cardholder helping provide them with peace of mind.
