Charity credit cards really do make all of the difference

Charity credit cards really do make all of the differenceCharity credit cards have been around for quite a while now, however not everyone has been entirely convinced by their benefits. Many charity cards offer just a small percentage of money that is spent on the card to charity, leaving people to wonder just exactly how much good they are actually doing. After all, what is a few pence for every £10 spent?

The amount of money that goes to the charity will differ from card to card. However, even if only a really small percentage of money goes to your chosen charity, surely it is better than nothing? You do not have to pay anything extra for the cards and the interest rates are just the same as ordinary credit cards. So really there is no real difference between charity cards and ordinary credit cards; except with charity cards you get to help out a charity of your choice.

So far millions of pounds have been given to various charities through the use of charity credit cards. Amnesty International is one such charity which has really benefited with just over £2 million being donated.

Many people think that charity credit cards are a fairly new prospect, when in fact they have been around for over twenty years. HBOS is one of the main providers of charity credit cards and since their launch they have managed to donate over £20 million to different charities. That is obviously a really good sum of money and it would have benefited each charity quite a lot.

So as you can see, charity credit cards are definitely worthwhile. You will be helping your chosen charity no matter how little the donations are. It soon mounts up as you spend on your card and it takes no extra effort either. So if you haven’t yet considered a charity credit card, why not consider one today?
