Morgan Stanley increases credit card cash back offer

Now is the time to spend and be rewarded at the same time with the latest offer from Morgan Stanley. The Platinum credit card from Morgan Stanley now offers a bonus 3% cash back on all purchases made until January 1st 2007.

The Morgan Stanley Platinum credit card has twice in recent years, been voted the best cashback credit card by Which? Magazine.

The promotional rate of 3 per cent cash back is triple the standard 1% rate available on the card. This means any spending made by using the card before January 1st 2007 will receive 3% cashback. After January 1st 2007 the cash back rate reverts to the standard 1% for expenditures up to £2000 and 0.5% thereafter.

Marketing director of Morgan Stanley’s UK credit card business, Patrick Muir, said, "Morgan Stanley believes that the only way to build a longstanding relationship with customers in the competitive credit card sector is to tangibly reward their loyalty.  Morgan Stanley is committed to offering a variety of different rewards to meet the needs of every individual.”

Morgan Stanley has also changed its balance transfer offer from a lifetime deal to a fixed period. Any balance transfers made before January 1st 2007 will receive a rate of 3.9% APR until July 1st 2010

Here are some examples of how much cash back can be earned:

Platinum Card - Example One:  A new cardholder spends £3,000 between 5 September 2006 and 1 January 2007 and £3,000 over the remainder of the year.

Platinum Card - Example Two:  A new cardholder spends £1,500 between 5 September 2006 and 1 January 2007 and £4,000 over the remainder of the year
