Brits seem to be getting better aware of credit card offers

Brits seem to be getting better aware of credit card offersIt is thought that Britons today are a lot more aware of the rip off offers they get through the post. Most seem to opt for credit card offers that they seek out, rather than just accepting any old deal which pops through the post.

This is obviously good news as it was mainly credit card deals through the post which were the reason behind much of the credit card debt problems. People see a good deal and it is simply convenient to just fill in the application form and send it off rather than look for a better deal. However now it seems that Britons have got the idea and more people than ever before are searching for better deals on the Internet.

It is thought that only around 15% of people now take up offers which are sent to them through the post. Other people prefer the offers which are not forced onto them. By browsing through the Internet it is possible to find hundreds of offers, especially if you use comparison websites. It only takes around two minutes to find a good deal these days and so there really is no excuse to just stick with offers sent through the post.

More often than not these offers you receive through the post have a higher APR than those which you can find online. So whilst you may be able to easily get one of their cards, it would come at a higher price than what you could potentially get online. People realise this and that is why these postal offers are being avoided.

So overall it is good news that us Brits are now getting more credit card aware and it can only be a good thing that we are being more conscious about how and when we spend our money.
