MBNA Europe,a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation, has announced improvements to its current popular Platinum credit card.
The MBNA Platinum Plus credit card has now been upgraded to include a substantial 0 per cent introductory offer for all purchases made within the first six months of the account opening.
This new introductory offer is added to the existing deal of 0% APR on all balances transferred within the first 9 months of the account opening. The standard APR for the MBNA Platinum Plus credit card remains the same at 15.9%.
The Platinum Plus credit card is one of the most popular amongst the MBNA credit card stable. Other benefits of the card include the interest free period of up to 56 days for any purchases made and a free 24-hour worldwide customer help line.
MBNA have just announced they will reduce their credit card late payment fees to £12, in line with the recent OFT recommendations. This new fee will come into effect on June 28th 2006.
