Credit Card Advice Site Updated By APACS

APACS, the UK payments association, launched their new revamped credit card information site yesterday.

Designed to guide and assist consumers in their decision process on which type of credit card bests suits their needs, the site http://www.choosingandusing.com aims to provide information on a number of key credit card areas.

The site was first launched in July 2005 and receives on average over 3000 visitors a month.

The site manages to explain in plain English how to choose your credit card, understanding the terms and conditions, the application process, how to use your card and advice on credit card debt.

Sandra Quinn from APACS said, “Even though our research shows that 82 per cent of credit card holders understand the costs and charges on their cards, and 89 per cent believe they manage their responsibly, there are of course people who would benefit from, or would like, more information and clear advice on how to select and manage their cards. Over the past year www.choosingandusing.com has not only made valuable impartial advice available to many thousands of consumers but also third parties offering consumer advice. In fact visitor feedback has really helped us with many of the changes we are launching today and we hope this additional and updated information will ensure its useful to many more people.”

APACS is the UK trade association for payments. APACS acts as the voice for the payment industry members and one of its key responsibilities is to coordinate the ahe ongoing activities to combat credit card fraud.
