A gang of recruited fraudsters have been foiled before they could get their plan of hitting many shops and stores in the city of Manchester, with cloned, with the Trafford Centre being one of the main targets for the fraudsters.

Their plan was doomed almost from the start, as one of the men who was recruited by a crime king pin, known only as “The Boss”, was caught in possession of 50 un-signed cloned, as he tried to get through Manchester Airport.

This alerted the police to the scam and another man Kok Ong (48) was soon under arrest, after he was caught using the fake in the Trafford Centre. He was caught in possession with gift vouchers and goods that he had purchased, using the fake from different stores within the centre.

Both Ong and the man arrested at the airport, Beng Kut Swee (35), hailed from Malaysia and both admitted to conspiring to defraud financial institutions, which led to both being jailed for 7 months apiece and both will face deportation when they are released. Both had stated that they were made to do it by “The Boss” to pay back debt that they owed.

This is just another story in a long list of credit card fraud, that shows no sign of ending, but it always seems to be the foot soldiers and not the “Mr Big” that gets caught, and until the day that the Police and authorities get inside and crush these people, we can be certain that credit card fraud will only get worse, before it gets better.
