Barclaycard have brought in a new fee for consumers who pay their credit card balance off every month.
In order to try and make some money on, Barclaycard are starting to make a squeeze on consumers who do not pay any interest. They will now reduce the amount of interest free days you are allowed to pay off your balance.
This is in fact a stealth fee, however, Barclays Bank are open about it. Barclaycard spokesman, Ian Barber said, “ We are not making as much money out of customers that pay their bill in full”
“If you pay your bill in full each month you may get a few days less to pay”
Barclaycard also stressed that there never was a fixed term guarantee on interest free periods.
Barclaycard made a profit of £34bn last year.
